Religious Zionism - Zehut

זהות (Zehut): a single-rate tax on all kinds of income, with no tax brackets and no tax credit points; a gradual abolition of customs duties and import quotas; lower National Insurance contributions, with citizens required to buy these services on the private market. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): requiring the large companies to sell some of their brands, a cap on the market share of any single player, resuming the work of the סלבין committee, and legislation to limit the number of brands and the market share of the large companies. Members of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to impose an additional tax on budgetary pensions
• to set that a person who buys a finished apartment is treated, for purchase tax, as having bought a residential apartment
• to give the power to instruct the Bank of Israel to provide banking and credit services to customers on whom a foreign state has imposed economic sanctions

זהות (Zehut): conquest, expulsion and settlement in any part of the Land of Israel from which Israel is attacked; release of hostages only by military means; leaving the UN and reducing military and economic dependence on the United States. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): the immediate return of about 50,000 soldiers who are not assigned to active reserve units. Members of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to deny the right to be elected to the Knesset to anyone who supports an enemy state in wartime
• to cancel the ban on Israelis entering the Gaza Strip
• to set principles for future deals to free captives and missing persons
• to exempt defense personnel who give a senior political official information vital to state security from criminal and disciplinary liability

זהות (Zehut): 11 government ministries, with their division and powers set in Basic Law: The Government; abolishing the institution of the presidency, moving most of the president's ceremonial duties to the Knesset Speaker, and moving the power to pardon to a committee of the Chief Rabbi, the President of the Supreme Court and the Knesset Speaker. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): a demand to take charge of the Israel Land Authority and the Planning Administration in the next term, removing obstacles and placing Zionist professionals in the key posts. Simcha Rothman (no. 4 on the list) of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to have the President of the Supreme Court chosen by the Knesset
• to set the panels of the Supreme Court without human involvement
• to limit legal standing so that only someone harmed by, or connected to, the subject of a petition can petition
• to set that no order may be issued against a decision of elected officials except on grounds of legality or improper motives
• to allow Knesset members to enter closed state institutions and facilities, also in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank)

זהות (Zehut): changing the Law of Return towards the national-halachic definition; only conversion according to halacha, in rabbinical courts authorized or recognized by the Chief Rabbinate, to grant the right to immigrate; only kosher food in the army and a ban on non-operational activity on Shabbat; opening the Temple Mount to Jewish prayer. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): a law to preserve the integrity and sanctity of the Western Wall; Simcha Rothman (no. 4 on the list) said that the law that applies to alimony and child support between Jews is religious law. Members of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to add the word "כהלכה" (according to halacha) to the Law of Return
• to set in Basic Law: The Army that military service will be carried out while protecting the right of the person serving to a religious way of life

זהות (Zehut): leaving the World Health Organization while keeping the power to approve medicines and vaccines in Israel; privatizing the hospitals through an open tender, with the health funds and the government owning no hospitals; keeping the current basket of services alongside the free purchase of private services; strengthening inpatient care and diagnosis in the community.

זהות (Zehut): a publicly funded education voucher that parents can use at any institution, abolishing school registration zones, sending the budget directly to schools by number of pupils, and leaving only a supervision department in the Ministry of Education. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): Bezalel Smotrich (no. 1 on the list) announced that the Ministries of Education and Finance are advancing an added post of a team kindergarten teacher in the state kindergartens, as a solution to the shortage of substitute staff.

זהות (Zehut): handing vacant land over to the public, breaking up the Israel Land Authority, only four land classifications, an agreed district plan in which the residents of each district set the character of building, and automatic approval of building against which no justified objection is filed within 60 days. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): taking charge of the Israel Land Authority and the Planning Administration in the next term and removing planning obstacles. • to exempt motorhomes used only for living in from vehicle import conditions
• to set that a person who buys a finished apartment is treated, for purchase tax, as having bought a residential apartment

זהות (Zehut): defining protection rackets as terrorism and moving them to the Shin Bet, stripping citizenship from those involved and from their relatives, harsher penalties and confiscation of property, collecting all the illegal weapons in the Negev, a gun license for army veterans with no violent record after a handgun course, and police commanders chosen by the communities. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): a national temporary order to fight organized crime with exceptional tools, and defining the possession of illegal weapons as terrorism. Members of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to create an offense of looting in wartime or a national disaster
• to widen the state's exemption from tort liability towards former prisoners and detainees over terrorist activity
• to set that the trial of a minor accused of an act of terrorism is held in open court
• to limit a police officer's power to give orders to the public to three hours (up to six with an extension)
• to allow a prison sentence to be served in community custody

זהות (Zehut): leaving the commitment to the climate treaties and adopting accepted standards for protecting the environment and managing waste; stopping subsidies for renewable energy; continuing gas exploration and building nuclear reactors; declaring nature reserves; penalties and enforcement according to the extent of harm to the environment. Zvi Sukkot (no. 7 on the list) of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed a bill requiring the recycling of batteries of electric and hybrid vehicles.

הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): including the rehabilitation of wounded IDF soldiers in the defense establishment's multi-year plan, as agreed, and a pledge to rebuild Nir Oz and bring its residents back home. Members of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to recognize as soldiers who fell in battle those who had been discharged from regular service, had completed active reserve service or are serving in the career army, and were murdered in a hostile act in the Swords of Iron war
• to use the biometric database to identify the fallen and the missing in a mass-casualty event
• to set principles for future deals to free captives and missing persons
• to widen the state's exemption from tort liability towards former prisoners and detainees over terrorist activity

זהות (Zehut): abolishing the biometric database law and the database itself; ending the use of administrative detention; refraining from the use of violence against non-violent protests; a declaration of loyalty to the State of Israel as the state of the Jewish people as a condition of citizenship for non-Jews, and anyone who refuses and is not suspected of aiding terrorism or Israel's enemies may remain a permanent resident. Moshe Feiglin (no. 2 on the list) wrote, about the streets being flooded with Pride flags, that this is not a struggle for "rights" but "ideological coercion funded by the state". Simcha Rothman (no. 4 on the list) of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed a bill to use the biometric database to identify the fallen and the missing in a mass-casualty event.

הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): 20 new communities in the Galilee and 20 in the Negev, dozens of farms, expanding the existing communities and hundreds of thousands of housing units. זהות (Zehut): full governance in the Negev, in the Galilee and in the mixed cities, and the Trans-Menashe road as a national strategic need.

זהות (Zehut): ending the deduction from the income support benefit; giving all refugees and survivors the same terms as those disabled by Nazi persecution; harsher penalties for crimes against the elderly; making National Insurance services accessible, also in foreign languages.

הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): expanding the reserve system and making it more efficient, and bringing in the Haredi public, with up to 30 days of reserve duty a year as early as 2027; a Basic Law: Those Who Serve that would give priority to those who serve and their spouses in housing, daycare, land, hiring for the civil service, tenders and academia. זהות (Zehut): moving the affirmative action preferences to discharged soldiers in studies and in hiring. Simcha Rothman (no. 4 on the list) of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed a bill to recognize as soldiers who fell in battle those who had been discharged from regular service, had completed active reserve service or are serving in the career army, and were murdered in a hostile act in the Swords of Iron war.

הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): tax benefits for immigrants. זהות (Zehut): arranging the absorption of medical professionals and recognizing immigrants' professional licenses; basic changes to the grandchild clause, with no retroactive effect.

הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): affordable housing, subsidized development and benefits for young families. זהות (Zehut): letting parents raise their young children until compulsory kindergarten in the way they think best.

זהות (Zehut): defining protection rackets as terrorism and stripping citizenship from those involved; ending affirmative action for the Arab population and moving it to discharged soldiers in studies and in hiring, and a ban on affirmative action in admission to the medical professions; differential driver licensing, with harder conditions for a license and a lower threshold for losing it in the sectors more involved in accidents; volunteering in civilian work only, not in the army. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): a national temporary order against organized crime; opposition to allocating land at zero cost to the Arabs of the north.

זהות (Zehut): direct election of Supreme Court justices once every ten years after a hearing in the Constitution Committee, with no Judicial Selection Committee; removing the power of any court to strike down a law; splitting the roles of legal adviser and chief prosecutor. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): a demand in the next government to split the post of Attorney General, to regulate judicial review, to change the appointment and management mechanisms of the Supreme Court, to strengthen the Knesset and to protect individual rights in criminal proceedings. Simcha Rothman (no. 4 on the list) of הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism) filed bills:

• to have the President of the Supreme Court and the Ombudsman of the Judiciary chosen by the Knesset
• to set that no order may be issued against a decision of elected officials except on grounds of legality or improper motives
• to require the court's permission for a state appeal against a criminal acquittal
• to have the courts always choose the more lenient interpretation in criminal law

זהות (Zehut): privatizing the public transport companies and Shabbat regulations at community level; reducing state involvement in marriage, which is a matter for citizens and their community; a system of civil courts that would rule according to Jewish law, alongside the existing system and only with the consent of both sides. Moshe Feiglin (no. 2 on the list) wrote that what defines marriage in Judaism is the Torah of Israel.

זהות (Zehut): a formal announcement of the full cancellation of the Oslo Accords and restoring the former legal situation in Judea, Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza, and the immediate application of full sovereignty over all the liberated territory. הציונות הדתית (Religious Zionism): full sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and bringing hundreds of thousands more settlers; Bezalel Smotrich (no. 1 on the list) wrote that as long as he is a minister, no Palestinian terror state will be established in Judea and Samaria. • to apply Israeli sovereignty to the areas of settlement in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank)
